  • The Best Day of my life 9.24.08

    The best day of my life (next to the birth of my child) was 9.24.08 which was the day I was lucky enough to have a M&G with Carrie. It was beyond perfect. . I had to work on 9.24.08 and had the hardest time concentrating with the pure excitement of meeting Carrie. It was finally time to leave. I had a 1.5 hour drive to the venue and of course the traffic was awful. I was so afraid I was going to be late and miss my opportunity to meet Carrie. I finally arrive and had an entire 5 minutes to spare. I head to Will Call to pick up pass and there I meet some of greatest FC members, (maddkat and gliders1). We talk for a while and then Matt finally came in to give us direction. We all head of that area down the sidewalk to this secret black unmarked door. While inside Matt arranges all of and FC was last which was okay with me since we were able to see Carrie the entire time.

    It was finally my turn. I was really surprised that words came out and they made sense. I handed her a bag with some goodies for Ace. She said, " thanks. he will love them." I had brought a 8 X 10 picture for her to sign of the red carpet ACM's this past year. She signed that and another picture for my daughter of the People Magazine shoot with Carrie and Ace. I had one more thing to ask her which was to sign a M&G picture for another FC member (carriefan22, Jeff) who had asked me if I could ask her. She did without hesitation. I told her Congrats on CMA nominations. She said, "Thanks but now I have to wait until November. Told her that we knew she would win. She smiled. We took the picture and then it was over. It was a great experience. She is indeed the nicest person that you will meet.
